Owner, Head coach
Greetings, my name is Coach Ken Wade. It would be a delightful pleasure to describe to you who I am as a trainer and a coach. I have over 30 years of coaching with a diverse age range. As a coach and trainer, I believe in players achieving their true potential that will help them develop and enhance their skills on and off
the court. I have an unwavering commitment to learning, and my extensive coaching experience and basketball IQ are supplemented by me obtaining high levels of coaching certificates. I am a winning coach, and I have coached many teams to championships, including:
• Centennial College Junior Varsity Men’s Basketball team to six Championships
• TTC All-Star (local 113) team to their 2017 Championship trophy in Detroit
• U16 Girls team to the OBA Championship in 2019
I have worked with many organizations such as Team Joseph Training, Centennial College Varsity Teams, and Toronto Transit Commission all-star team, and I also coached and trained at prep schools. I am passionate about working with players individually to enhance them to be competitive on the basketball courts.
I have a strong work ethic, and I am committed to teaching basketball IQ and skills in a manner that will assist players in excelling and performing at their maximum potential.
"Together, we are a team, win, lose, or draw; we are a family."
I am the head coach of the LOBA boys team. I played 1 year of basketball at York University and 2 Years of basketball at Centennial College. In University, I majored in Psychology which allows me to prepare our athletes with mental advantage.
I stand for growth, I am determined to see our athletes become exceptional basketball players but even more exceptional in the classroom. I want our athletes to thrive in their books so they can have all options available to them. Being a former player I can demonstrate different methods to help sharpen their skills. I am approachable and open minded to help our athletes be the best they can be.
Basketball has always been my first love. Started playing competitive at age 12. Improving my skills week by week.
Focusing on my education and basketball allowed me to continue post secondary. In 2006, I met Coach Ken who helped further my intrigue for the game and allowed me to develop my basketball foundation.
I was able to play 1 year at York University and decided I wanted to pay it forward to the younger generation.
My passion to see the kids I help become their best selves not only on the court but in their books.
A lifelong basketball player and learner who specializes in on court development and working with kids.
Recently graduated from Nipissing University with a business degree, where he also played on the Men’s Varsity Basketball team for 5 years as a Point Guard and leads the program in All-time Assist.
Coach Rhodes is also a highly touted 3x U Sports Academic All-Canadian for his outstanding work in the classroom as well as on the court, bringing meaning to being a true Student-Athlete.
